Adinia Wirasti, The Real One of A Kind

One of the most eagerly awaited movie on 2017 is the Critical Eleven. And it was really worth waiting for. Critical Eleven is actually a movie based on a mega-best-selling novel with the same title by Ika Natassa. A lot of talented people were hired to make this amazing movie, including Ika Natassa herself as the scriptwriter along with Jenny Jusuf, Chand Parwez Sevia as the producer, both Monty Tiwa and Robert Ronny as directors, Isyana Sarasvati's 'Sekali Lagi' as the original soundtrack, and so many gifted people as the casts, such as Refal Hady (as Harris), Hannah Al-Rashid (as Tara), Astrid Tiar (as Agnes), Mikha Tambayong (as Renata), and even Hamish Daud (as Donny).

But above all of them, people's (and also mine) most favourite couple on screen were hired to be the main characters in the movie. Those are---of course---Reza Rahadian as Aldebaran Risjad, and one of my favourite role model, Adinia Wirasti as Tanya Baskoro. On this post, I will be explaining not-so-many things I know and adore about Adinia herself. Okay, so, here we go!

Adinia Wirasti was born in Jakarta, Indonesia on 19th of January, 1987. Adinia---or Asty, for short---is one of the best Indonesian actress who was very well-known for starring in both "Ada Apa Dengan Cinta?" and its sequel ("Ada Apa Dengan Cinta? 2"). She actually started her career as a model in a teenage magazine. Then, she started her acting debut as Karmen in AADC. Even though she was the youngest, she played her role really well. She then, again proved her skills and talents as Rudi, a tomboy girl, in "Tentang Dia" (2005). She got nominated as the best actress by the MTV Indonesian Movie Awards 2005.

Adinia Wirasti was a really active girl as a child. She never thought that she would be an actress. She once was (and still is) a fan of basketball. But the doctor forbade her to play until she was 17 years old for her leg injury. She was also active in cheerleader member in her school. She never disregards her health condition. As a prove, right now, she's doing a routine of sports which occurs about 6 days in a week.

Not so many people know that Adinia Wirasti is the little sister of Sara Wijayanto, singer, actress, and the wife of Demian Aditya. She also has one older brother, and his name is Wisnu Hardhana.

Adinia is not only active as an artist, but she also contribute in society by signing up and actually doing some of her speeches and being an activist. For example, the '4-hours-without-phone' movement, of '#SayangUangnya' by Permata Bank, and so many more. The real Beauty with a Purpose, right?

As what I've stated before, she started her acting career as Karmen---one of Dian Sastro's friend---in "Ada Apa Dengan Cinta?" on 2001. AADC went really viral in Indonesia, and people started to realize her potential. She continued acting in her second movie, "Tentang Dia" which was released in 2004. From this film, she got an award from 'Piala Citra' as 'Pemeran Pendukung Wanita Terbaik Festival Film Indonesia 2005', also from 'Festival Film Bandung'. From that moment on, she started to break away from Dian's success.

In 2006, Adinia's skill was put into the test again. She starred in some movies, like 'Dunia Mereka' and 'Ruang'. To prove her consistency and commitment in acting, Adinia took a 'one-year-program' of Screenwriting in New York Film Academy, L.A., and finally graduated in 2008. She spread her wings of acting even further by starring in some movies, such as '3 Hari Untuk Selamanya', 'Jakarta Maghrib', 'Arisan! 2', and 'Laura & Marsha'. Together with 'Laura & Marsha', Asty got another award, 'Piala Citra' by FFI in 2013.

She got another awards recently. In 2017, she was crowned as 'Pemenang Pemeran Utama Wanita Terpuji' in Bandung Film Festival, along with Critical Eleven. She also got into the nomination of 'Pemeran Utama Wanita' with the same movie on FFI 2017.

What do I love the most about her?

Well, it HAS TO be her skillful mind and her obviously super-outstanding talent of acting. I'm a huge fan of cinematography, and she is one of the best actress I've ever seen on screen! The first time I saw her was on Cek Toko Sebelah. She gave me those feelings where people know that she was acting, but it looks so real that people ignore that fact. She did every acts to make us feel like we're on the movie as well, as if she wasn't acting.

Another thing is that, since I'm always into cinematography and acting, she just inspires me to do what she did, especially about acting and stuffs. (Just like in Susah Sinyal Movie---damn, I love how she acted so much!) I know I can do what she does if I'm willing to, and maybe, someday I'll make my own movie. Starring me as Debai, and Adinia as her mom!
